What we collect

When you browse: basic technical information needed to run the site securely. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
When you start a WhatsApp enquiry: the items in your cart and the reference we give you. The message we pre-write contains only the reference and your cart, never your address or account details.
When you place an order with our team: your name, phone number and delivery address, which you share with us on WhatsApp, and how you paid (for example "Paid via M-Pesa Till").
If you create an account: your name, email address and saved addresses.
Warranty and returns: the device serial number or IMEI, kept privately and never shown publicly.

Why we use it

To confirm and deliver your order, give support and warranty service, keep records we are required to keep, and keep the website secure. We do not sell your information.

Who sees it

Only the Hodari staff who need it for their role, and the delivery partners who need your address to deliver. Our hosting and backup providers store data on our behalf under our instructions.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become orders	90 days, then your contact details are removed
Orders and payment notes	7 years, for our legal and tax records
Accounts	Until you ask us to delete it, or after 24 months of inactivity (we will tell you first)
Returns and warranty records	2 years after the case is closed
Device serial and IMEI records	The warranty period plus 12 months
Security logs	30 days
Backups	Up to 90 days; deleted information leaves backups as they expire

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it. Message us on WhatsApp. We will reply within 7 days and complete your request within 30 days. You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
